Many of the false Christian Churches, the cults, have what they will tell you is the only true and correct translation of the Bible, Their translation, in reality, is not a real translation or correct version of the Bible. It is one that their organization has made changes to, so it supports their erroneous teachings and theology. These "versions" of the Bible were create to lead the members of these groups further away from the true teachings of the Bible and further into darkness and the false teachings of Satan.
Below you will find examples from the "Bibles" used by three of the more widely-known of these groups.
CLEAR WORD TRANSLATION
This is the version created by and used by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Many of the passages have had words added to the or taken way from them, changing what is being said, Furthermore just about everywhere the Bible uses the word "sabbaths" in the Clear Word Translation they have changed it to "The Sabbath." This is to support their teaching of Saturday worship only. In addition, they added a lot of unnecessary paraphrasing tilted towards their beliefs. None of which is supported by the real Bible or real Christian doctrine or teaching.
JOSEPH SMITH INSPIRED TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE
This version of the Bible is used by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Mormons or LDS Church). Joseph Smith, who translated it, knew no Greek or Hebrew. He claimed he was inspired by God to make these "corrections and changes." In other words, he made it what he thought it should be to support his church and his teachings. There are so many changes and even many chapters and verses that have been changed to and portions deleted or entirely new chapters added.
NEW WORLD TRANSLATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
This is the official version used by the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Many of the verse changed deal with the Deity of Christ, who they claims is a sort of reincarnation of the Archangel Michael, and is not the Son of God. For example in the King James Version of the bible, John 1:1 reads: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
However in the New World Translation John 1:1 says: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god." Note only did then un-deify Christ, but they made it appear as if there is more than one god. Did you noticed their use of a little "g" and not a capital one.
The best thing you can do is avoid these fake and erroneous so-called translations of the Bibles and the groups that support and use them. Let us take a look at what the Bible has to say about these so-called "translations":
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
(Revelation 22:18-19)
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
(Galatians 1:8-9)
