GOOD FRIDAY AND RESURRECTION REMEMBRANCE DAY MESSAGE 2024

I recently had someone ask me why I refer to this time of year as the Resurrection Remembrance Day. Instead of Easter, like most of everyone else does. I told him because Easter is a pagan holiday and has absolutely nothing to do with Christ or the Resurrection of Christ. It comes from the worship of the false goddess Eostre. It was the Catholic Church that adopted the name in 325. There is no mention of "Easter" anywhere in the Bible or any place else in any religious literature until after then.

The "Easter" that the world celebrates in our so-called "modern" times has so very little, if anything, to do with Christ and His Resurrection. It is all about candy, fancy lunches and dinners, Easter egg hunts, and so on. Nothing to do with Christ. Easter is being used as a way to slowly indoctrinate people away from the real meaning of the Resurrection Day and all it stands for and represents, and get them all wrapped up in the ways of the world. The world cannot stop it on its own. The various governments cannot stop it, no matter what and how much they try.

Want to know what the world would be without Christ? Just look around and you will find out. The world is in a downward spiral out of control. No matter what anyone does or tries, it fails and many times makes things even worse. No one seems to have any real answers. They just want to point a finger and blame everyone else, and scream and yell and name call at each other.

People need to know and understand the real reason for the celebration that takes place this time of year. They need to understand that Jesus and Jesus alone provided the way to salvation, eternal life, and forgiveness of our sins. They need to understand When Jesus died on the cross, He took upon Himself all of the sins of the world, each and every one of us. And that three days later God raised Him physically from the dead.

Jesus Himself tells us that. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20).

With all of the distractions that the world is shoving in everyone’s face, many people hear the knock, but don’t answer it. Even more people do not even hear the knock. This isn't by accident; the world does not want people to hear the knock of Christ or invite Him in.

The world is spiraling downward and wants to take as many people as it can with it. It does not want people to hear the Words of Christ or even read the Bible. It does not want people to know or understand what the Resurrection Day is all about and what it means for all of us.

If not for the death and resurrection of Christ, all of us would be lost in our sins and condemned to everlasting damnation and punishment. Christ Himself has told us that, "....I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6). The Word of God also tells us, referring to Jesus, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12).

The world denies these facts and pushes its fake garbage into everyone's face and expects them to believe it over the truth. As Christians who are born-again in the blood of Christ, it is our responsibility to share and continue to share with the world the truth and dispel the lies and falsehoods that the world presents to everyone. The world offers continual darkness and confusion. Only Christ and Christ alone and bring them into the Light and spare them from what the world is going through.

Christ died for you and your sins on the cross nearly two thousand years ago, Yes for you! Then three days later God raised Him physically from the dead. This is the news we need to go out there and share with the world and those who so desperately need to know Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Do as God Himself commands us to do:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" (Matthew 28:19)

Have a Happy and Blessed RESURRECTION REMEMBRANCE DAY!
